Production Planning Manager

JOB TITLE: Production Planning Manager reporting to Operations Director

LOCATION: Halesowen, On-Site

JOB PURPOSE:

Somers Forge Ltd is seeking a Production Planning Manager to oversee and manage the production scheduling process. In this role, you will ensure customer requirements are met while working toward achieving budgeted output. You will be responsible for progress chasing inventory for both internally manufactured and subcontracted items.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adhere to Somers Forge Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policy
• Chair and provide relevant data for internal meetings, including:

- SQCDP Morning Management Meeting

- Sales Meeting

- Forge Planning Meeting

• Develop, maintain, and update monthly plans for all open orders
• Issue priority lists to departments and ensure timely execution
• Maintain and update the ERP system (INFOR) with full training provided
• Liaise with customers as needed, particularly for key customer accounts
• Prepare monthly reports to Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
• Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and attend monthly review meetings, including weekly updates
• Train employees in production planning processes and procedures
• Fulfil daily production planning requirements as necessary
