Combination therapy, which involves using multiple drugs together, is a common strategy in cancer treatment. A deep understanding of how cancer cell lines respond to drug treatments is essential for advancing targeted therapies, especially in the context of combinational treatments. The aim of this project is to leverage publicly available RNA-seq data from cancer cell lines treated with specific drugs that are often used as a first-line treatment and can potentially be used in combination with ImmTAC molecules. This will help us to understand the mechanisms behind drug synergy or antagonism by highlighting the key genes and pathways altered by the drug treatment.
Key Responsibilities
The project will involve data gathering, data management, processing and visualization drawing up a complete data processing cycle.
In addition, this project will provide an excellent opportunity for the applicant to develop skills in bioinformatics and computational biology, including coding in R or Python, RNA-seq data analysis, and statistical methods. This project provides a good ground for a cross-disciplinary learning experience and implies interactions with wet lab scientists.
