Volunteer Women's Support Team Role | Women on the Frontline Ministries

To be part of a growing Christian led charity making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable women, who have experienced domestic abuse, trauma involved in prostitution or at risk of sexual exploitation.

What difference will you make?

Your experience, skills and expertise will help build and empower self-confidence and self-esteem of the women that attend the drop in. Your help will contribute to making trustful and lasting relationships, creating a community environment of love, hope and restoration.

What are we looking for?

The ideal person should have the ability to relate sensitively to vulnerable women, with various needs, able to build rapport and boundaries in relationships. A commitment and passion for our cause, preferably Christian, have good communication and listening skills. Good time management and able to work well as part of a team. Be friendly, approachable, a positive outlook and enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn. Preferably knowledge, understanding or lived experience of sexual exploitation and or domestic abuse, an awareness of the needs of the vulnerable.

What will you be doing?

The ideal person would have experience in providing, advocacy, practical help and support a listening ear and compassion for issues of a vulnerable nature such as exploitation and abuse. Within our women only daytime drop-in space, being part of a team you will be involved in ensuring a safe environment, you should have the ability to build trustful relationships, providing hospitality and friendly conversations, supporting creative activities and exploring faith. Being able to identify the needs of women that may need extra support and or referral to other agencies as necessary.
