A day in the life of a Support Worker

In this role you will support young adults with autism, learning disabilities and complex behaviours to lead fulfilling and independent lives , this will include:

  • Companionship - providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
  • Personal care - supporting with a wash, bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
  • Meals – supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
  • Domestic tasks - light cleaning tasks.
  • Mobility - supporting the client to live as independently as possible.
  • Social activities- trips out, social engagements and activities within their home or the service.


This role is likely to require some weekends and some sleep in shifts.
