We are seeking an experienced palliative care nurse to join the team at our In Patient Unit in Welwyn Garden City.
As part of the multi disciplinary team you will ensure that the individual care needs of patients are assessed and appropriate care plans developed, providing information, advice and support to patients, families and carers. As a Senior Staff Nurse you will be responsible for supervising the day to day running of the shift, monitoring the quality of care and providing guidance to staff as required under the indirect supervision of the Ward Sister.
To be considered for this post you will need to be a registered nurse with a minimum of 18 months post registration experience, preferably with experience of working in a specialist palliative care/oncology setting. Mentorship/Preceptorship or equivalent or a willingness to study towards this is essential. You will need to be a good team player, flexible in your approach and able to work a full range of shifts including Nights, Weekends and Bank Holidays.

Annual leave starting at 27 days plus bank holidays (pro rata) and increasing with service, we also honour NHS/Hospice long service leave.
