Our client operates multiple nursery settings in and around Crawley, West Sussex. They are seeking a dedicated nursery assistant with previous experience and a strong commitment to professional growth. With well-equipped rooms catering to children aged 3 months to 5 years, you'll have access to a variety of resources and activities to support the development of the children in your care.

Upon Completion Of Induction, Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Planning age-appropriate activities to support the specific development needs of individual children
  • Building strong relationships with parents and carers while assuming key children responsibilities
  • Conducting observations during EYFS curriculum-based activities to monitor progress and achievements
  • Maintaining accurate records of children's development through regular observations
  • Assisting with children's hygiene routines and mealtimes
  • Creating a safe and enjoyable environment, prioritising health and safety at all times
  • Safeguarding children and reporting welfare concerns to management
  • Documenting daily diary sheets for children and conducting end-of-day handovers with parents
  • Supporting the training and development of other staff members in the room

Requirements For This Role Include

  • Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one through Randstad
  • Previous experience working with children aged 0-5 is essential
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and professional demeanour
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
  • Dedication to children's development with an energetic, can-do attitude
