About Our Engineering Business

Our multidisciplinary Light Industry team in the UK, includes Civil & Structures, Building Services and Project Managers.

Our focus sectors include new build, refurbishment and carbon reduction in logistics particularly for consumer goods and services; manufacturing for food, beverage and automotive; industrial covering mainly energy from waste facilities and also pharmaceuticals.

The Role:

The role will focus on the project design management and delivery of small to medium single or multi-disciplinary projects. This will require someone with the ability to support the team and to deliver quality, robust deliverables on time and within budget.

Role Responsibilities:

  • To manage small / medium projects and deliver successful results
  • To assist with developing and delivering good practice in project and design management
  • Liaison and co-ordination with other Project Managers and Project Teams
  • Business development support including input into bids and proposals
  • Project Design Management, achieving profitable results on programme
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures
  • Design manage documentation to support the delivery of designs (project management plan, programme, RFI register, risk and opportunities register etc.)
  • Managing commercial aspects of projects, including proactive change control procedures and maintaining project finances
  • Assist in development of good techniques/systems for project management
  • Assist in ensuring that design reviews are held for projects
  • Assist in bid preparation and proposals where required
  • To monitor delivery against the Client brief and produce design reports, design programmes, deliverables registers, reporting internally and to the Client.
  • To deliver small to medium multi-disciplinary design projects for Clients ensuring excellent technical delivery against the brief according to the RHDHV Management Systems
  • To manage and co-ordinate internal design resource, facilitate design meetings with both internal and external designers
  • To ensure commercial control over design projects involving setting of project budgets, allocating fee targets, monitoring fee spend, carrying out change control to achieve profitable results
  • Assist in bid preparation including engaging with RHDHV design teams
  • To act as key interface with Clients on allocated projects, understanding and seeking out opportunities.
