Join Our Team as a Principal Financial Accountant in Wilmslow!

Are you a seasoned financial professional looking for an exciting new challenge? We are seeking a Principal Financial Accountant to manage all statutory and tax matters for our sales and service entities in the UK. This role offers the opportunity to drive audit efficiency initiatives and oversee other legal entities in the North Europe region.

Location: Wilmslow, Cheshire

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days on-site per week)

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting and month-end close activities for entities in the Europe North Field organization.
  • Ensure statutory, VAT, and tax compliance for UK sales and service entities (Waters and Wyatt).
  • Oversee statutory, tax, and VAT reporting for legal entities across the Northern Field region, including the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Norway.
  • Handle full accounting and month-end reporting for Wyatt UK.
  • Lead audit efficiency projects across the region and contribute to European and global initiatives.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Education: Full membership of a recognized accounting body.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in a European accounting role, with audit experience.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of US GAAP, UK statutory, tax, and VAT rules. Proficiency in SAP, Excel, MS Office, and Blackline.


Competencies:

  • Ability to work independently within a geographically dispersed team.
  • Excellent collaboration and proactive, self-driven approach.
  • Hands-on work style with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to manage multiple accounting topics.
  • Project and change management skills are a plus.
  • Commitment to self-development.


Travel Requirements:

  • Must hold a current passport and be prepared to travel abroad, including occasional weekends.
