We have a fantastic opportunity to join us as Price & Promotions Analyst on a 18 months fixed term contract at Holand & Barrett. The purpose of this role is to lead the development and delivery of regular reporting, analysis, and insights related to pricing and promotions. The Pricing & Promotions Commercial Analyst translates complex commercial data into actionable insights to support decision-making and strategy implementation. The role ensures that pricing mechanisms and reporting tools enhance value perception , protect trading profit, and support commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Major Projects and Initiatives:

• lead analytical insight projects to support pricing strategy.
• Develop pricing mechanisms and reporting tools.
• Optimise core metrics for measuring market competitiveness.
• Drive initiatives to integrate pricing insights across business functions.
• Work on pricing automation improvements and self-service reporting tools.
  
  

Operational Tasks

• Conduct complex pricing analysis to provide strategic and financial support.
• Analyse data trends to identify pricing risks and opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with external pricing data providers.
• Ensure performance SLAs are met and report at regular review meetings.
• Provide training and support to teams on pricing data utilisation.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and work autonomously where needed
  
  

Location:

This role is based in Nuneaton, and may be occasionally required to travel to our London Hub or to any other location of H&B. We support flexibility and productivity of our employees by hybrid working arrangements with minimum 2 days presence in the office.

Key Requirements

• Strong expertise in AI-driven pricing processes, Excel, and database management
• In-depth knowledge of pricing models, commercial finance, and trade planning
• Experience in data analytics and statistical modelling for pricing strategies
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Excel (including VBA), SQL, R, Python, or similar tools
• Strong communication skills to translate data insights into business recommendations
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under minimal supervision
• Resilience and adaptability in an evolving retail and pricing landscape
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Excel (including VBA), SQL, R, Python, or similar tools
• Strong communication skills to translate data insights into business recommendations
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under minimal supervision
