Devonport Naval Base is the largest Naval Base in Europe. It is a 650 acre site with 15,000 acres of waterspace, employing 12,000 people on site. The Base is primarily focused on delivering timely deep maintenance to the UK’s submarine fleet. It is also the operating homebase for frigates, amphibious Ships, Royal Marines. It employs more than 10% of Plymouth’s workforce and contributes to 14% of Plymouth’s economy.

Job Description
We are looking for an excellent communicator with good organisational skills with a history of managing or delivering IT projects/programmes.
The job holder will be responsible for all IT assets held within Naval Base Commander (NBC) Devonport's Organisation. They will ensure all assets are accounted for, deployed, maintained, upgraded and disposed of via the correct route and policy for the lifecycle of the IT asset.
Act as the Enterprise Site Lead for Defence technical refresh programmes, delivering IT and IS updates to the whole of HMNB Devonport, facilitating effective Change Management for staff, equipment, and systems.
Provide whole site briefings for ICT programmes being delivered to site.
IT focal point for NBC Devonport staff and supported Units within the Naval Base, adhering to MOD policy, Service Level Agreements and Joint Business Agreements.
Develop and maintain IT asset registers for NBC Devonport and whole site assets as dictated by Navy Digital.
Conduct regular assurance checks and investigations on behalf of Defence and Navy Digital teams.
Utilise Remedy Asset Management Tool to provide asset reports as required.
Delegated budgetary authority for IT equipment and consumables, utilising Navy Digital Front Door and engaging with ICT team as required.

Person specification
This role may be suitable for someone with previous experience of working in a team delivering IT programmes or managing IT assets.
Previous experience or technical knowledge can help but we’re looking for the core skills and the motivation and ability to learn, so we can support your continuous development in the role. We’ll provide opportunities to maintain or gain industry qualifications, certifications or memberships where required.
