The successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design of our RFID readers and accessories, which can range from simple electronic product housings to complex, ergonomic, high IP/IK indexes mobile devices , ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and reliability.

As our Mechanical Designer, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Develop detailed mechanical designs for new products and improvements to existing products.
- Create 3D models and detailed drawings using CAD software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, contract manufacturers and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components.
- Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to validate design concepts.
- Perform design reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Identify and resolve design issues and implement design changes as necessary.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, test plans, and reports.
- Support the manufacturing process by providing technical assistance and resolving production-related issues.
- Work closely with Contract Manufacturers to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in mechanical design and technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in the technology or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PTC Creo).
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to mechanical design.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience working with Contract Manufacturers.
- Knowledge of structural design and analysis is a plus
