As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a crucial role in supporting school students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers and parents to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. What You'll Be Doing
- Provide general classroom support.
- Implement support strategies in line with the school’s policies.
- Work closely with teachers and parents to ensure progress.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualised support plans for the students, tailoring strategies, and resources to meet their specific needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and adjusting support strategies, as necessary.
- Participate in meetings and discussions to share insights and strategies for supporting the students’ learning and well-being.
- Help foster a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where students feel valued and included.
- Employ different instructional techniques and materials to cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of the students.
- Keep detailed notes on the students’ development and communicate this information to teachers, parents, and other relevant parties.
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting.
- SEN experience is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues, building positive and supportive relationships.
- Demonstrate the ability to establish trust and rapport with all members of the school community.
- Show a deep commitment to helping students by exhibiting patience and empathy in your interactions.
- Additional qualifications or training in education or behaviour management are advantageous but not mandatory, providing you with additional skills and knowledge to support students effectively.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
- An immediate start date, providing you with the opportunity to make a difference right away. Alternatively, if you are seeking a later start, this could also be possible for the right candidate.
