We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team, specialising in supporting pupils with ASC and other associated needs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating an inclusive learning environment, adapting curriculum content, and implementing individualized strategies to meet the diverse needs of our students. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching Geography or History. There may be some teachng outside of your specalism.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction that meets the needs of students with ASC and associated needs, fostering engagement and promoting independence
- Assess pupils’ progress and needs regularly, using data to inform planning and set achievable goals. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide tailored support to pupils, implementing strategies for social, emotional, and behavioral development. Encourage positive interactions and foster an inclusive classroom culture
- Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to each student’s education and well-being
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed about best practices in supporting pupils with ASC and associated needs. Share knowledge and strategies with colleagues
- Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment that promotes respect and learning
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with students with ASC and associated needs, ideally in a school setting
- Strong understanding of inclusive education practices and tailored teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
- Experience of teaching pupils in key stage 3 & 4 desirable
- Experience and passion for humanities desirable
