As part of the wider Logistics department, we are seeking an individual to oversee the transportation of stock from both domestic and overseas suppliers for timely distribution from NWS Warehouse. This role would require liaising with freight carriers, monitoring shipment schedules, handling documentation, keeping up to date with the and working closely with internal procurement team to delivery an efficient supply chain.

What You'll Do

  • Freight Management: Coordinate, manage and monitor inbound shipments to ensure timely and efficient delivery into the Wrexham distribution centre.
  • Carrier Liaison: Maintaining accurate and efficient communication with freight carriers and other logistics providers to resolve issues and keep up to date with market changes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with purchasing and goods in team to for streamlined processes benefiting the wider business.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of shipment details, costs, and performance metrics, providing regular data reports to use yourself and with key stakeholders to support their decision making for the wider supply chain
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot any shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, or delivery delays, identifying and implementing solutions to streamline inbound freight processes and improve overall efficiency for all groups involved.
  • Cost Control: Maximising load capacity, minimising delays and selecting appropriate routing to manage import costs.

What You'll Bring

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external logistics providers
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse shipment, port and route data
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to troubleshooting shipping and logistical challenges.
  • Microsoft Excel: Strengths in Microsoft Excel to perform supply chain managing tasks.
