YOUR CORE PURPOSE WILL BE:

  • To ensure that the highest standards of food and beverage and hospitality are demonstrated at all times
  • Assist with receiving and storage of goods
  • Maintain good food safety, hygiene standards and practices
  • Assists with the preparation of a food and beverage outlet for service including:
    • Cleaning of equipment
    • Cleaning and maintaining glassware and china for service
    • Preparation of tables
    • Serving of beverages
    • Recording of replacement stock
    • Billing procedures of items consumed in line with hotel policy
    • Ordering and storage of minibar items
  • Establish and maintain effective employee working relationships
  • Attend and participate in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled
  • Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge which will enhance the guest experience
  • Demonstrate a service attitude that exceeds expectations
  • Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
  • Appreciate the dynamic nature of the hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers
  • Be able to promote the hotel products and services
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety
  • Perform other tasks at the level of the role as directed by your line manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

  • 1 year previous experience of a similar role within a Hotel environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to plan and prioritise
  • Ability to multi task

  • Flexible and adaptable approach
  • Able to work unsupervised

  • Literate in computer technology
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures and countries
