Aurora Energy Research

Date: 1 week ago
City: Oxford
Contract type: Full time

Department: Commercial - Marketing

Location: Oxford, UK

Description

We're looking for a commercially minded content creator to improve the impact of our marketing communications.

You will craft compelling content that highlights our services and software products, with the aim of establishing Aurora as a thought-leader especially in new markets. You will make our client communications more convincing, commercially successful and memorable. Your role will be in part proactive as you identify opportunities for content-led marketing initiatives, while also reactively collaborating with others on bespoke, targeted, tightly briefed campaigns. Aurora's research is accelerating the energy transition, and you will focus on building the narrative for our brand.

You will be a member of our global Marketing and Communications team, reporting into the Communications Manager, while working regularly with the Senior Copy Editor and regional marketing specialists. Aurora has a fun social culture, where we take our work seriously, but ourselves less so.

To be successful, you will have prior experience with content writing for different audiences, a sound understanding of marketing channels, content marketing strategies, and importantly, the eagerness to learn about energy markets and our SaaS products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Craft content based on our Research for various platforms and own the global research publication calendar

  • Develop simplified key messaging for each service and SaaS products to be used on all channels including website, social media and blogs

  • Work with our Communications and Marketing teams to draft fresh content and review existing content to maximise audience impact

  • Develop a content style to target different audiences, with concise messaging

  • Improve the impact of our communications products including slide decks, videos and emailers

  • Work with the Senior Copy Editor to define our tone-of-voice as a commercial business and our Employer Brand

  • Deliver measurable positive improvement in click through rates and engagement metrics on our digital channels

  • Measure results and optimise accordingly

  • Passionate about tracking and improvement

  • Experience of CRO, SEO, SEM and paid media.

  • A good balance of superlative copywriting skills and creative flair.

  • Excellent at managing competing timelines and projects.

Desired attributes:

  • CIM member: Affiliate or Associate ACIM.

  • Experience of marketing subscription software, ideally in the energy industry.

  • An interest in making a positive contribution to the global energy transformation.

  • Proficiency with a project management tool

  • PowerPoint and Excel proficiency
