Job Title: Classroom Support Assistant

Location: Weymouth

Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Are you passionate about supporting students in their learning journey? GSL Education are searching for a proactive and dynamic Classroom Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in Weymouth. This role is ideal for individuals who are patient, adaptable, and committed to making a positive impact in the classroom.

Role Overview: As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide essential support to students, ensuring they have the guidance and assistance needed to thrive in their education. Your role will involve working with individuals or small groups, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in delivering engaging and structured lessons.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help.
• Support students in developing their confidence and independence in learning.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Assist with classroom preparation, including resources and materials.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all students.
• Support students with special educational needs (SEN) if required.
  
  

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Classroom Support Assistant, or similar role is desirable but not essential.
• A passion for education and supporting students of all abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Ability to adapt to different learning needs and support requirements.
• A relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3) is advantageous but not required.

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.
• Have an Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
