We are looking for a junior-level automation tester to join our existing cross-functional Agile test team, working on our SaaS cloud platform. The successful candidate will develop automation tests to a good standard, develop tools and scripts to aid with automation testing and work with our CI/CD DevOps deployment pipeline. They’ll understand and learn industry best practices within development and test automation and be involved with the evolving company culture and encourage others to do the same.
This is a full-time, permanent hybrid position based in our Peterborough office, offering the perfect balance of three days in the office and two days working from home. Embrace the flexibility and be part of an innovative environment where your contributions truly matter.

Skills, qualification and experience
- Good standard of education – 2:2 degree or higher
- Manual Testing
- Selenium
- API Testing
- SQL
- DevOps
- Azure/cloud-based applications
- Developing within an Agile process such as Scrum
- Testing distributed web-based applications
- A solid background in manual and/or automated testing
- Knowledge of modern web technologies are an advantage
- Developing automation tests according to existing test scripts and acceptance criteria
- Knowledge of DevOps and deployment pipelines are an advantage
- Isn’t afraid to admit failure and learn from it
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
- Automation Testing (coding, testing, peer reviews, documentation etc) – 65%
- DevOps Pipelines (deployment tools, maintaining pipelines, deployments etc) – 20%
- Sprint activities (planning, stand ups, retrospectives, backlog reviews etc) – 10%
- Training – 5%
