Come and assist with the Force's Vehicle Recovery Scheme.

The Vehicle Recovery Team are looking to recruit a Vehicle Recovery Assistant on a full-time permanent basis, based at Force Headquarters, Ripley

Vehicle Recovery Assistants act as a point of contact to a wide range of internal and external customers ensuring a professional and quality service is provided. You will be responsible for processing a wide range of tasks in connection with the Force Vehicle Recovery scheme.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide all customers with detailed advice and guidance on vehicle recovery legislation and procedures.
  • Provide immediate advice and assistance to Officers at the roadside during office hours.
  • Undertake vehicle releases, Officer chasers, disposal checks, carry out system audits and process disposal paperwork / payments.
  • Record, update and interrogate seized vehicle data using the force vehicle recovery system.

The must haves

  • Experience of working in a customer environment providing a high level of customer service.
  • Good IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Ability to prioritise workloads while multitasking across a number of complex tasks.
