Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for the post holder to manage the charity’s grant income through compelling and bespoke applications to Trust & Foundations in support of LPT’s fundraising programme to an agreed annual fundraising target. To use your expertise to lead on complex processes to work with appeal holders and be their advisor and guide to navigate through the project management and internal processes. To establish fundraising plans for multiple appeals and to research and write bids which will actively generate funds from a portfolio of funding sources. To build and maintain strong relationships with supporters, both internal and external, grant-making trusts and foundations to manage and deliver a robust fundraising programme. To manage successful grants from end to end, including managing project groups to deliver grants outcomes.
Initiative, creativity, excellent organisational skills, research, presentation and writing skills are required, together with the ability to manage and develop persuasive proposals and nurture effective relationships with key funders. Your persuasive and negotiating skills will be critical in presenting complex information to funders and contractors as well as sharing how-do knowledge in the sector related initiative including national conferences.

- Income generation & fundraising secure funding through grants, donations, and sponsorships to enhance patient care and staff experiences beyond core NHS provisions.
- Project & budget management develop, manage, and oversee funding applications and grants, ensuring successful delivery of projects and financial sustainability.
- Content creation & communication develop compelling cases for support, create impact reports, and manage content across digital and print platforms.
- Stakeholder engagement & relationship management cultivate relationships with grant-making bodies, internal stakeholders, and external partners to enhance funding opportunities.
- Independent working & strategic oversight act as the lead specialist in trusts and foundations fundraising, ensuring best practices and continuous improvement in income generation.
- Leadership & communication lead complex funding processes, advise appeal holders, and translate service needs into compelling funding proposals.
- Governance & compliance Ensure adherence to Trust and charity policies and maintain transparent financial and reporting processes.
- Operational requirements travel to sites as needed, represent the charity at events, and manage project-related activities, including financial and impact reporting.
