What's In It For You
An opportunity has arisen for a Systems Engineer to join Airbus Defence & Space working on Military Satellite Communications (Milsatcom) at our base in Portsmouth, UK. You will be joining our team of Lead Systems Engineers and Architects, reporting directly to our Future Milsatcom Studies Team Lead.
The Systems Engineer will provide the system architecture definition for the pending tender opportunities with the UK MOD (Skynet Enduring Capability) and other Milsatcom programmes - covering the space, control and ground segments. We see this as a great opportunity to be part of some diversified and future looking programmes.
Airbus Defence and Space is proud of what it has been able to achieve with a track record in delivery Milsatcom capability to the UK MOD from Skynet 4 to the successful industry/military PFI (Skynet 5) and currently under contract to deliver Skynet 6A on orbit, setting the standard and establishing what can be done with inter-satellite links, navigation and space-based networks. Examples may include (but not exclusive to) accessible facilities; auxiliary aids; room layout, etc. Any information disclosed will be treated in the strictest confidence.
As a Disability Confident Employer, Airbus UK will offer an interview to any applicant that considers themselves to have a disability or long-term condition and meets the minimum criteria of the role (as set out in the job advert).
