Strategic Lead – Responsible Sourcing

Oxford, UK or Leiden, Netherlands

£62,000 - £70,000 (UK) / €70,000 - €80,000 (NL) per annum, depending on experience

What You’ll Do

As our new Strategic Lead, you’ll play a key role in overseeing and growing our responsible sourcing projects. You'll work with top global brands like Nestlé, PepsiCo, and Mars, supporting the implementation of their environmental and social commitments .


Your main responsibilities will include:

Strategic Leadership & Project Oversight: Lead and manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring everything runs smoothly, from planning to resource allocation.

Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior leaders, providing expert advice and resolving issues as they arise.

Technical Excellence: Share your expertise on responsible sourcing, contributing to best practices and innovation in supply chains.

Team Development: Mentor and lead a talented team of consultants, helping them grow and achieve their potential.


Who You Are

You have a strong track record in responsible sourcing, especially in agricultural supply chains . You’ll bring:

Extensive experience in responsible sourcing (either from a consultancy or the private sector)

Deep knowledge of environmental and social issues (e.g., deforestation, human rights, climate change) in tropical agricultural supply chains (palm oil, soy, cocoa, etc.)

A passion for leading teams and building strong client relationships

Excellent communication and analytical skills

A relevant Master’s qualification (or equivalent)
