An opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.

What You Will Do

You will support the seamless delivery of the childhood vaccination programme for pre 5 children GP practices within North Ayrshire.

You will have a key role within the school nursing team in supporting children and young people on a 1-2-1 basis with their health and well-being in line with the refocused school nursing pathways. With a particular focus on emotional health, offering interventions within the home and school setting, to improve wellbeing outcomes for our children and their families.

Experience of working with children and families in a clinic and community setting is desirable. Full induction and mentorship will be provided to the successful candidate.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job

You must be a 1 level Registered Nurse and possess a degree in a related field ie Nursing, Health Studies or with evidence of further professional development in these areas.

Excellent communication skills, a passion for improving outcomes for children, ability to be flexible, able to work on own initiative and within a large team (to support the wellbeing of our children) are all essential qualities.
