Overview Of The Role
JCB Transmissions is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Embedded C programming or Model-Based Development to design, develop, and implement software solutions for cutting-edge transmission and driveline systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced control systems that power JCB’s world-class machinery.
What does this role involve day to day?
Ordinarily, our resourcing team reviews and shortlists CVs. If shortlisted, you’ll speak to one of our recruiters to discuss the role further. Our interview process usually consists of an initial team’s interview followed by an in-person interview. Overview Of The Role
JCB Transmissions is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Embedded C programming or Model-Based Development to design, develop, and implement software solutions for cutting-edge transmission and driveline systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced control systems that power JCB’s world-class machinery.
What does this role involve day to day?
- Designing and developing robust, efficient embedded software for transmission and driveline control systems.
- Writing, testing, and debugging code in Embedded C to meet system requirements.
- Utilizing tools like MATLAB/Simulink to create, simulate, and implement control algorithms.
- Performing Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Vehicle-in-the-Loop (VIL) testing to validate control strategies.
- You bachelor’s or master’s degree in software engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- You have Strong proficiency in Embedded C programming and debugging.
- You have experience with Model-Based Development using MATLAB/Simulink.
- You have familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and microcontroller architectures.
- You have experience in developing software for automotive or off-highway machinery
