Role Description

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Clinisys, you will be responsible for deploying and operationalizing Clinisys SaaS-based Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) across the globe. This role demands a deep understanding of operations and customer delivery. You will work towards building standardized, repeatable, consistent processes. You will research new technologies and influence the technical roadmap with the aim of reducing total cost of ownership of Clinisys products.

Responsibilities

• Leverage automation to simplify deployment of Clinisys solutions
• Evaluate and operationalize third party products that comprise the platform used by the Clinisys solutions
• Develop, review, test, and implement configurations that will improve reliability and performance of internal and customer-facing systems
• Serve as Tier 3 support on third-party applications related to infrastructure for both internal and external clients
• Actively participate in program team meetings to ensure solutions can be effectively operationalized
• Execute initiatives to form a Cloud Center of Excellence
• Provide infrastructure related expertise to Clinisys sales and customers by designing optimal infrastructure
• Deploy standards and reference architectures for delivering Clinisys infrastructure
• Stay informed about emerging threats and security trends, and mitigate risk as assigned.
• Provide administration of cloud hosted solutions including but not limited to:
• User administration and security.
• Routine maintenance (involves periodic off hours/weekend work)
• Scheduled backups and restorations; reviews back up logs.
• External product and tool installation, validation, and maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Ability to develop solid business cases for the adoption of new technologies, evaluate total cost of ownership of solutions and comparison of multiple options and providing recommendations for a path forward
• Proven experience in the implementation of complex IT projects including deployment and administration
• Proven experience with external products and tools and their operation, application, and administration
• Scripting or programming ability in multiple languages
• Understanding of development process, including specification, documentation, and quality assurance
• Ability to complete projects on time, with high quality, and within budget
• Solid logic, organizational, and communication skills
• Analysis and design skills
• Knowledge of cloud security principles, best practices, standardized and repeatable processes
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to influence others
• Experience working with CloudSecOps or DevSecOps practices and tools
• Experience in information technology, systems administration, network administration, or product development
• Experience with implementing systems
• Experience and expert knowledge of the Windows and Linux Operating Systems
• Experience with cloud hosting solutions such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Experience with cloud systems.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as CloudFormation, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, BICEP, etc.
• AZ-900 certification
• Bachelor’s degree in information science, computer science, software, engineering, business or other relevant combination of training and education.
• Additional Azure or AWS certifications a plus
• Security certifications a plus
