About The Role

You will be working as part of the Group Corporate Control team responsible for all aspects of external reporting to shareholders and other stakeholders including, quarterly trading statements, interim and preliminary announcements and annual report. In addition, you will be responsible for helping drive the group month end close working with individual markets, dealing with queries and ensuring the timetable is met.

Your responsibilities

  • Aspects of the Group’s consolidation process, ensuring these are done efficiently with process improvements made where appropriate.
  • Preparing analyses used by the investor relations team to communicate trends in business performance.
  • Validating claims within our external announcements and ensuring that appropriate documentation is retained.
  • Working with external auditors (KMPG) to assist with external audit process.

Work as part of the ‘month-end close’ team (a cross functional team across Corporate) to:

  • Deal with market queries and questions
  • Chase countries and ensure that month end deadlines are met
  • Contribute to ‘lessons learned’ sessions debriefing across month end

The experience we're looking for

  • ACA or ACCA qualification (CIMA or similar only if accompanied with statutory accounts experience).
  • Ideally ‘Big 4’ background with experience of working in IFRS and the regulated Audit profession. ‘Mid-tier’ acceptable if has worked under IFRS.
  • Strong Excel skills in manipulating schedules and analyses.
  • Experience of consolidation either preparing or auditing.
