The Team

Our Managed Service Team is responsible for the technical delivery, ensuring enterprise infrastructure is provisioned, deployed, and supported to meet business requirements. We are undergoing an exciting transformation as we transition to a cloud-first approach. This strategic shift reflects our commitment to staying at the forefront of technology and providing our clients with cutting-edge, scalable, and resilient solutions.

We operate a shift pattern to ensure core business hours (8AM – 6PM, Monday to Friday) are covered. Most of the work will be conducted our base location (Liverpool), but occasional travel to other offices, customer sites or datacentres may be required, including occasional out of hours work. Participation in the company out of hours on call rota may be required and is paid extra.

The Role

We are looking for experienced and skilled Senior Azure Cloud Engineer ready to join our dynamic close-knit Technical Operations Team and become a key player in deploying, maintaining, and supporting both internal and customer cloud infrastructure.

Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless delivery of technical projects and upholding SLAs for our valued customers. This role is perfect If you're passionate about driving innovation and ensuring operational excellence in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain and optimise Azure environments
  • Deploy Azure Cloud Infrastructure using IaC to support customer & internal projects
  • Collaborate with internal teams to shape cloud strategy
  • Automate manual activities and streamline processes
  • Own the rollout and deployment for large scale projects
  • Participate in the development of DevOps functionalities like ongoing integration and monitoring
  • Advanced troubleshooting / Proactive support of cloud environments – mainly as an escalation point to other team members
  • Become a mentor to other members of the team
  • Demonstrate teamwork, self-motivation, and adherence to company working practises

Skills And Experience

  • Extensive Azure experience (Design, Deployment & Maintenance)
  • Hands on experience with IaaS, SaaS & PaaS Services
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable Scripting and automating tasks using appropriate tooling i.e., PowerShell
  • Experience in deploying infrastructure as Code
  • Experience with common CI/CD tooling
  • Familiar with event driven architectures eg Azure service bus
  • Good interpersonal and written skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical personnel at all levels both internally and to external customers
  • Ability to organise personal workload to meet agreed timescales and working under pressure
  • Team player
  • Experience of working within a Change Management Framework
  • Desirable to have Azure Certifications such as:
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
