About The Role

We’re looking for a Safeguarding Assistant to join our vibrant Neighbourhood Housing team for 18.5 hours per week over 2.5 days. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting the designated safeguarding leads in promoting a culture of vigilance for safeguarding in the organisation.

You Will Also

  • Liaise with internal colleagues and external agencies to ensure all safeguarding concerns are logged are progressed without unnecessary delay.
  • Ensure that any safeguarding concerns are reported in line with our policy and procedure.
  • Role model appropriate behaviours and act with the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Play an active role in contributing to effective cross team working/departmental projects and provide cover for colleagues as required.

Who We Are Looking For

Our successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience of working with Safeguarding.
  • Good working knowledge legislation and regulation relating to safeguarding.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Good communication skills with customers, and to be able to understand their needs, often in emotional and sensitive situations.
