We’re recruiting for a Resales Officer to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. Based out of our Portsmouth office, this is a full time role working 37 hours a week, with a minimum of 20% of this to be office based to promote collaboration and team working.

Here’s The Facts About The Role

As a Resales Officer, you’ll be responsible for the coordination of all our shared ownership resales as well as other leasehold activities, including staircasing, Right to Buy/Acquire, lease extensions, re-mortgages and transfer of equity. You’ll also deal with ad hoc leasehold enquiries regarding the many property sales we have going through at any one time! In this role you’ll establish a strong working relationship and will liaison with the solicitors acting for us, and our third party agency who market and sell resale properties on our behalf. You’ll also work with the Resales Manager and peers to establish & deliver the leasehold programme with appropriate procedures and reporting in place. You'll get involved in ensuring that our resales and other leasehold processes are effectively designed so that our product range is sold as quickly as possible.

You’ll have a confident, outgoing nature and strong interpersonal skills and will be able to represent the business at occasional evening/weekend meetings with applicants, open days, exhibition days or other publicity events. You’ll also work well in a busy environment and be able to meet tight deadlines. As a resales officer you’ll have a sound understanding of social housing, including regulation/policy. You’ll also understand the housing market and the regulation relating to this, particularly around the governments shared ownership scheme. A general understanding of the property development process, valuations and requirements, and some experience of shared ownership property sales would be advantageous but is not essential. Attendance at team and directorate meetings is a requirement of the role which may be held in either of our office hubs or off site in Hampshire, so a driving licence and access to a car suitable for business use is a necessity.

This role requires a basic DBS.
