The Role
The Quantity Surveying function within the Programmes & Advisory business unit serves all
industry sectors, and provides clients with a full range of pre and post contract quantity surveying and commercial management services.
We are looking for passionate and experienced Quantity Surveyors to join our fantastic team.
We are involved in projects and programmes across a variety of sectors, such as
- Lower Thames Crossing
- HS2
- King Salman International Airport
- Dublin BusConnects
2 roles available QS (not fresh grad, but with some good experience in Consultancy); also Senior QS, ideally Chartered and with experience of mentoring or training less experienced colleagues.
Bristol or Reading offices
Key responsibilities include
providing expertise in the procurement of bids, tenders, contracts etc.
commercial due diligence
price negotiation
cost agreements
Here's what you'll need
Experience in consultancy work and project delivery in the construction industry
Degree educated in quantity surveying or other relevant qualification
Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS or equivalent) preferred for Senior QS role
Working knowledge of common industry standard forms of contract, typically JCT and NEC
Use of computerised measurement packages – such as CostX
Good general commercial and contractual awareness
Effective communication skills for liaising with local team and project teams
