Mechanical Quality Inspector (CMM) - Market-Leading Engineering & Manufacturing Company, Near Camberley

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our prestigious engineering and manufacturing client, based near Camberley, who are seeking a Mechanical Quality Inspector to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a market leader in the engineering sector, ensuring the quality and precision of mechanical components using advanced measurement tools, including CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).


Salary: Circa £41,000 per annum


Location: Near Camberley, Surrey

Position: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• CMM Operation: Use a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to carry out precise measurements of mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring they meet quality standards and technical specifications.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect and verify the quality of products throughout the manufacturing process, identifying any defects or non-conformities and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and measurement reports, ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards.
• Support Manufacturing Teams: Work closely with the production team to identify quality issues, providing feedback and recommendations for improvements to ensure continuous quality control.
• Inspection of Mechanical Components: Inspect a wide range of mechanical components using a variety of measuring tools and techniques, including manual gauges and CMM.
• Continuous Improvement: Assist in the development and improvement of quality control processes and procedures, ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained across all projects.
  
  

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with experience in mechanical quality inspection, particularly in the use of CMM equipment. The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine): Proficiency in operating CMM equipment for measuring mechanical components with high precision.
• Mechanical Engineering Background: A solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Quality Inspection Skills: Previous experience working in a quality inspection role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and an ability to identify issues, ensuring all products meet stringent quality standards.
• Excellent Communication: Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with production teams and senior management.
• Knowledge of ISO Standards: Familiarity with ISO quality standards and procedures in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
