Division info:

The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position:

We would consider all Engineering disciplines. If you have a positive attitude to training and would like to learn new skills, or up skill your current skill set, then we would love to hear from you.

Main responsibilities:

  • Building, testing, and inspection of both routine and complex mechanical hydraulic systems
  • Fit and assemble of sub-assembly parts and components.
  • Identifying and repairing mechanically issues.
  • The ability to use variety of measuring equipment e.g. Micrometres.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and H.S.E Standards.
  • Working to engineering drawings, C.M.M s and Operation Instructions.

Qualifications:

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Previous experience as an Assembly Fitter in the Aviation Industry.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical hydraulics systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • 37-hour week Monday to Friday.
  • Days shift 8am- 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 8am -1.00pm
  • Alternating shift pattern,

Early: 6.30am - 2.15pm Monday-Thursday.

Friday 6.30am -12.30pm

Late 2.00pm - 9.45pm Monday-Thursday.

Friday 12.30-18.30
