Responsible for the entire life cycle of products, including distribution, international allocation, delivery and final disposal of resources. To oversee and coordinate all aspects of moving products, equipment or materials to the customers ensuring goods arrive at their destinations, safely, timely and cost effectively.

Key Responsibilities/accountability

  • Track shipments and update status in databases, providing real-time visibility and ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Develop relationships with carriers, negotiating rates and contracts to secure reliable and cost efficient transportation services.
  • Resolve customer issues related to delivery, addressing concerns and providing solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring and reporting on logistics performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, stay updated on industry standards and maintain proper documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the timely delivery of goods, fostering cross-functional communication and alignment.
  • Develop & implement strategies to improve the supply chain process, identifying opportunities for process optimisation and cost reduction.
  • Prepare and review reports, providing insights and recommendations for enhancing logistics operations and performance.
  • Enhance customer service through timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Improve supplier relations through successful negotiations and collaboration.

  • Proven project management experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations & in country requirements.


Essential

Skills & Knowledge

  • Relevant work experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or distribution.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and data analysis tools to track shipments and analyze performance.
  • Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on logistics metrics.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing market conditions and operational demands.
  • Understanding of international trade regulations (if applicable)


Desirable

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field
