Position Overview

To be part of a small team working within a busy mixed sku and high-volume warehouse. Therefore, this is a hands-on role with the primary function of this position ensuring that all Finished goods available for dispatching and dispatched in full and in line with the delivery requirements.

All finished goods are to be located within Goods Out locations grouped by order number, and all are in accordance with the QC standards.

Procedures are to be always followed which includes system discipline around the dispatching process (Finished goods process and all system booking out procedures).

POD control and document upload’s is required in line with business unit requirements.

There is also a requirement of organisation required which is to be communicated and worked alongside the fulfilment supervisors and fulfilment operatives, the good’s out area is to be owned by this position and therefore also be responsible to hygiene and Health & Safety within.

This position also requires a strong leader who can manage the Yard discipline and all transport traffic within the goods out area.

Key Deliverables

Working closely with the Distribution Manager and leading a small loading team.

Ensuring that all finished goods are located within a goods out location(s) and that all adhere to the finished goods standards.

Stock control of the finished goods area and to be able to communicate any discrepancies to the Distribution Manager / fulfilment supervisors.

To be able to navigate the current ERP and local business WMS, extracting data via Excel data sheets which will enable to ensure 100% OTIF is achieved.

Inputting of accurate data from WMS onto courier booking portals. Confirming that all items are both inputted and labelled correctly prior to dispatch.

To oversee the loading and docking processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

To ensure and confirm clean dispatching is completed and provide updates to the Distribution Manager.

To ensure that the goods out area is clean and is compliant with Health and safety standards.

To attend the daily transport meetings with the view to obtain information in connection to picking and loading requirements.

Ensure that the Goods out team understand and implement all relevant SOPs. Conduct briefings with the Goods Out team to communicate any SOP changes.

Be responsible to the control of all vehicle movements within the goods out area / yard and the control of all driving personnel.

To support site Management with regards to operational needs.

We Ask

  • WMS & ERP is required, training will be given for the business ERP system, but experience is required.
  • Experience in working in a fast paced, mixed product, manual high-volume environment.
  • Experience with a fast-paced Transport & Warehouse environment.
  • Good all-round understanding of warehouse procedures.
  • Counterbalance Truck (Essential)
  • IT literate. (Essential)
  • Must be able to work using initiative.
  • Must be able to work to tight deadlines and within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Leadership skills are essential
  • Concern for quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, on own and as part of a team.
  • Energy and flexibility – accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
