We are looking for a meticulous Legal and Compliance Specialist to join our team and ensure that our operations adhere to legal standards and regulatory requirements in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with UK laws and regulations, including employment law, data protection (GDPR), and corporate governance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Provide legal advice on various matters, including company policies, business practices, and potential legal issues.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and advise management on any potential impact.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with legal standards and company policies.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies.
  • Develop and implement compliance training programs for employees.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Law, or a related field.
  • Legal Practice Course (LPC) or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a legal or compliance role, ideally in a corporate setting.
  • Familiarity with UK employment law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and compliance software.

Salary Range

  • 28,000 to 35,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications).
