We are looking for a meticulous Legal and Compliance Specialist to join our team and ensure that our operations adhere to legal standards and regulatory requirements in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with UK laws and regulations, including employment law, data protection (GDPR), and corporate governance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Provide legal advice on various matters, including company policies, business practices, and potential legal issues.
- Monitor changes in legislation and advise management on any potential impact.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with legal standards and company policies.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for employees.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Law, or a related field.
- Legal Practice Course (LPC) or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in a legal or compliance role, ideally in a corporate setting.
- Familiarity with UK employment law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and compliance software.
- 28,000 to 35,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications).
