Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Team Management
- Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff to maintain a high-performing team.
- Create schedules that ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Oversee food preparation to ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation.
- Maintain hygiene and food safety standards.
- Manage stock levels, place orders, and control inventory.
- Minimize waste and maintain food cost control within budget guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Promote a safe and clean working environment.
- Design, update, and execute seasonal menus aligned with the venue’s concept.
- Experiment with new recipes and ensure diverse, high-quality offerings.
- Work closely with front-of-house staff for seamless service.
- Address guest feedback and adjust kitchen operations as needed.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers to source quality ingredients.
- Negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in kitchen leadership or management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and compliance regulations.
- Time management and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Budgeting and cost control expertise.
- Creativity and innovation in menu development.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Eligibility to work in the country where the role is based.
- An up-to-date bank account in your name.
- Compliance with local health and food safety regulations.
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 20-30 kg / 45 lb
- Comfortable working in a high-temperature, fast-paced kitchen environment.
