ICT Project Manager

Science Museum Group

Date: 5 days ago
City: London
Salary: £48,000 - £50,000 per year
Contract type: Full time

Are you experienced in delivering ICT projects successfully? Are you solutions-focused with an ability to build solid working relationships?

About us

We are looking for an ICT Project Manager to join our ICT team on a fixed-term basis until May'26. As ICT Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of strategic ICT projects, starting with the delivery of our Desktop Refresh programme to replace approximately 900 devices across the Science Museum Group (SMG).

This is a full-time role, which can be based at either of our London or Manchester museums, with occasional travel across sites.

About the role

Working alongside the wider ICT programme management team, you will manage your project team in a hybrid working environment to ensure productivity is maintained and key targets met, as well as developing and maintaining excellent partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project needs are captured and delivered. You will be a member of the Project Board and be required to provide reports into other senior governance boards as needed, as well as ensuring all project-based activity provides proactive compliance with SMG policies, including risk assessments and implementing safe systems of work.

About you

Joining us, you will be able to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and on budget, ensuring projects are managed effectively using your solid influencing and stakeholder management skills, and following governance procedures. As an experienced project manager, you will be familiar with best practice toolsets and methods in the delivery of programme and project management, and will hold a track record in successfully delivering ICT projects.

Don't feel you meet all the criteria? We welcome you to apply even if your experience doesn't match directly. With your transferable skills, you could be the right candidate for this, or other opportunities that we have.
