Our Grocery Service Centre, based near Liverpool, is a hub for transactional activity across multiple ABF companies within the ABF Grocery division. Supporting some of our well-known brands such as Kingsmill, Pataks, Blue Dragon, Jordans, Ryvita and Silver Spoon, amongst others. We deliver Shared Service activities across a wide range of disciplines including Customer Services, Consumer Care, Finance, Payroll, HR and IS.

Overview Of Role

Location: Belfast

Annual Salary: £31,705

As a skilled hygiene team member you will be responsible for effective and efficient cleaning of areas across site in line with the Company’s standards and procedures, whilst maintaining a safe, clean and pest- free environment. You will be working shifts 2 weeks of days and 2 week of nights, 4 days week 1 and 3 days week 2, 7 to 7.

Key Accountabilities

  • To maintain your designated work area in a hygienic, pest-free condition, in a safe manner, and reporting major faults on our systems. Conducting visual checks on your designated work area and equipment, in line with procedures and alerting any problems to the Engineers.
  • Employing all necessary controls in accordance with site food safety, Health & Safety and environmental management systems and procedures.
  • Assist in audit & review of your Hygiene Standard Operating Procedures and cleaning effectiveness, liaising with the Hygiene Technician & Site Services Manager.
  • To contribute as part of a team in assisting to meet the departments key performance indicators and to act outside of the daily schedule and focus on areas for improvement to hygiene, deep cleaning, pest control, efficiency or cost.

The Right Person

  • To have previous experience in a hygiene role
  • An ability to achieve Basic Food Hygiene, pest awareness and HACCP qualifications
  • A team player
  • Be flexible and co-operative to assist in meeting business needs.
  • Desirable to have Hygiene experience in a Manufacturing/FMCG environment, current Basic Food Hygiene Certificate And HACCP Awareness
