We are looking for a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to support our team here at Animed Veterinary Centre. Animed is a two branch RCVS accredited training practice based in sunny Whitstable on the Kent coast.
As a practice we encourage our nurses to work to their full potential giving them great job satisfaction on a daily basis. We really appreciate the brilliant value nurses bring to the clinic, clients and patients. We require an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse who has a proven excellent leadership experience. The ideal candidate will share our vision in providing the best possible clinical care, be a great place to work, with great facilities and equipment.
As the Head Veterinary Nurse, you will support the Practice Director in the day-to-day operations, lead an amazing team of RVNs, SVN's and PCA's to motivate and achieve their career aspirations whilst encourage a strong team culture throughout the practice.
The successful candidate will supervise and mentor their team. You will oversee rota management, holiday scheduling, sickness, and performance for the nursing team. You will maintain high standards of infection prevention and control, in line with regulatory requirements. Facilitate regular team meetings and training sessions to promote collaboration and professional development. Implement and monitor improvements in working practices to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction. Previous experience in a leadership role and with practice standards scheme is desirable.
This is a full time position of 40 hours a week; your working hours will be between 8am-7pm, Monday to Friday (4 or 5 days can be discussed) plus a 1:4 share of the weekend rota (Saturdays only). We are a two site practice and shifts may be at main site or branch site depending on the rota.
