An organisation is looking for a thoughtful and strategic Head of Finance to join them helping us continue building something special for our people, guests, and communities.

Key Performance Objectives

Develop and Execute Financial Strategies


  • Outcome: Design and implement financial strategies that support company objectives.
  • Measurement: Within the first 60 days review the current budget, forecasts, and long-term financial plans to ensure the company achieves profitability goals.


Optimise Financial Performance


  • Outcome: Identify and execute opportunities to improve profitability through cost management, pricing strategies, and operational efficiency.
  • Measurement: Analyse the current financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to the executive team. Continued action to hold the relevant stakeholders accountable for their budgets


Lead and Enhance Financial Operations


  • Outcome: Oversee all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in reporting.
  • Measurement: Implement robust financial controls and systems to mitigate risks and safeguard company assets.


Stakeholder Management and Reporting


  • Outcome: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Measurement: Conduct a full audit of the finance department. Detail its current state and prepare and present detailed financial reports and recommendations to the executive team. Integrate into the sites to build the relationships between the sites and the financial support function.


Team Leadership


  • Outcome: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Measurement: Identify and implement training opportunities to enhance team capabilities.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term goals with immediate financial needs.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on actionable insights.
  • Deep understanding of the hospitality industry, including revenue management and cost control.


Required Experience And Skills


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the hospitality sector.
  • Proven track record in driving profitability, managing budgets, and leading financial operations.
  • Expertise in financial systems, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
