About the Role


We are looking for a new on-site hairdresser / barber who will be responsible for cutting and styling hair for all employees at THG. You will see a number of employees per day ensuring first-class customer service is always at the forefront of your role. The chosen candidate will be responsible for all employees including all genders so previous experience dealing with a variety of clients is essential. You will be responsible for organising your own schedule efficiently to enable your time is used effectively.


Responsibilities:

  • Conferring with clients to determine their hairdressing needs, preferences, and specifications.
  • Advising clients on suitable haircuts as well as hairstyles and hair color based on their physical features and hair type.
  • Cutting, trimming, and shaping clients' hair as well as wigs, hair extensions based on clients’ preferences and specifications.
  • Shampooing, conditioning, and drying clients’ hair.
  • Using various hairstyling tools and equipment, including hair straighteners, curling irons, rollers, hairdryers, and hot combs, to style clients’ hair accordingly.
  • Cleaning and sterilising all hairdressing tools and instruments to ensure that state health and safety standards are met.


Requirements:

  • Relevant degree within hairdressing
  • Previous experience working as a barber or hairdresser
  • Experience of working with all genders
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • The ability to work under pressure.
  • The ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Patient and detail-oriented.
