My client, a leading Planning and Heritage consultancy based in Cambridge, is looking for an ambitious Graduate Town Planner to join their expert team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to kickstart their planning career with a dynamic, supportive, and highly respected firm.

About The Company

My client provides comprehensive planning and heritage advice throughout the UK. They work with a diverse range of clients, including property companies, landowners, farmers, and private individuals. Their services span the full planning process, from pre:planning advice to submitting planning applications and appeals. The team specialises in a variety of planning areas including heritage, rural development, listed buildings, and commercial property. They also work closely with architects, drainage, ecology, and transport consultancies to deliver integrated planning solutions that drive successful development outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist with a range of planning services, including preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and feasibility studies.
  • Support the team in conducting planning appraisals to identify development opportunities and mitigate project constraints.
  • Help provide pre:planning advice, ensuring clients have a clear strategy for their development goals.
  • Engage with clients across a range of sectors, including property companies, landowners, and farmers, advising them on planning processes.
  • Work collaboratively with architects and technical consultancies, contributing to the delivery of high:quality planning applications.
  • Stay informed about changes in planning regulations and legislation to provide up:to:date advice.

Qualifications And Experience

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related field (or working towards one).
  • A genuine interest in planning, development, and heritage.
  • Strong communication, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well within a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience with planning software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS) is beneficial but not essential.
