Fleet Engineer – Avionic Systems 12 month FTC
We are seeking a Fleet Engineer to join our team, reporting to the Engineering Manager and Team Leader for Avionics & Technical Publications. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure full integration with our company’s operating policies, maintaining easyJet’s Continuous Airworthiness obligations as per EASA Part ‘M’/Part CAMO. Your responsibilities include managing software configurations, improving aircraft availability, and ensuring system reliability and safety. You'll work closely with aircraft and equipment manufacturers, as well as liaise with Airworthiness Regulators, to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
What You’ll Be Doing
In our Avionic Systems Engineering team, you will take on a dynamic role where you'll provide troubleshooting assistance for Aircraft-on-Ground (AOG) and Out-of-Service (OOS) events, develop procedures to support reliability, and manage software configurations on our fleet. You'll assess and implement Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and other technical documentation, coordinate FDR and CVR data analysis, and produce Engineering Orders. Your role will involve interfacing with various departments, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting defect analysis, addressing audit reports, and collaborating with manufacturers to enhance aircraft availability and reliability. Represent easyJet at industry meetings, support avionic projects, and manage IPRAM Card recordings for Cabin Ops.
What You’ll Need To Do The Role
The candidate should have a recognised degree in Aircraft Engineering or an EASA aircraft maintenance engineer’s license. The candidate will have knowledge and experience in EASA Part M/Part CAMO functions, demonstrating competence in reliability control and Maintenance Programme development. Experience with Avionic maintenance systems and Airbus ‘Single Aisle’ aircraft systems is highly desirable, along with familiarity with aircraft ‘Maintenance Control Systems’ (AMOS). Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential, and a passion for Continuous Improvement, flexibility, and adaptability to change will ensure success in this role.
