We are now recruiting for a qualified Finance Manager (CIMA, ACCA or AAT) who will be responsible for producing our management accounts, including supporting activities and schedules. This will include VAT returns and preparing any additional reports and schedules for quarterly reporting and our year end audit.
This role can be hybrid, working 3 days per week in our Leyland office, and 2 days remotely.
Our modern office in Leyland, near Preston, is just 10 minutes from junctions 28 & 29 of the M6 with free parking available.
Job Accountabilities:
- Lead the management accounts team in preparation of the following:
- Monthly management accounts (P&L and balance sheet)
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations with all appropriate backing and follow up actions detailed
- Analysis of monthly costs & investigation of variances to budget/forecast
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets & monthly and quarterly forecasts
- Assisting with production of supporting schedules for annual statutory accounts & tax returns
- Ad hoc analysis
- Support development needs of 3 direct reports
- Drive a continuous improvement culture
To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Previous experience in a busy, dynamic Finance department within a diverse team
- Previous management experience
- A proven track record of producing accurate management accounts
- Able to work to a high degree of accuracy and to strict deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, able to build great working relationships with stakeholders
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Able to work individually and within a team
- Experience of using Sage
Desirable:
- Experience working within a high volume business
- The ability to influence and support colleague development
- Travel industry experience
- Knowledge and experience of Sage X3
- Experience of working with external auditors
