FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR – ASSET INTELLIGENCE

An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Administrator to join the team at Galliford Try within our Asset Intelligence business.
Ideally, you will based in or around the Warwickshire area for this role.

FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR – ASSET INTELLIGENCE
WARWICK
What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Administrator to join the team at Galliford Try within our Asset Intelligence business.
Ideally, you will based in or around the Warwickshire area for this role.
- Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors to ensure invoices and credits are raised in line with recorded project figures.
- Prepare and issue circa 100 invoices per month for the Technology Business asset hire.
- Generate and distribute manual invoices where additional client-specific detail is required. Ensure all invoices are processed and submitted accurately, including those requiring additional approvals.
- Maintain organised financial records to support audits, compliance, and reporting.
- Process subcontractor payments, ensuring they align with agreed contract terms.
- Assist in weekly payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timely approvals.
- Monitor aged debt and follow up on overdue payments in collaboration with QSs and project teams.
- Provide regular updates from bank statements to commercial teams for accurate financial tracking.
- Assist in cost tracking for projects, identifying overspend areas and potential cost savings.
- Manage and administer the weekly VCA (Value Cost Analysis) process.
- Support month-end Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) submissions.
- Set up and maintain billable clients for both internal and external contracts.
- Manage project contract lines and team allocations to facilitate accurate billing.
- Assist in creating subcontract variations and ensuring financial records reflect changes.
- Confirm and reconcile asset hire values for monthly reporting.
- Process retention release requests for projects reaching closure.
- Ensure financial governance and compliance with company policies and reporting standards.
- Support monthly cash call reviews, analysing debtors' lists and coordinating follow-ups.
- Maintain and update the ATBU (Asset Technology Business Unit) debt tracker with key comments.
- Assist the Divisional Finance Controller and Finance Assistant with ad-hoc financial tasks.
- Handle client and subcontractor queries on financial matters throughout the month.
- Provide Orbit system support, troubleshooting issues to reduce automated processing delays.
- Full training will be provided for this role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle numerical data accurately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT literacy is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with finance, commercial, and project teams.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks within strict deadlines.
