Job Description
Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies (CICT) is a forward-thinking centre of learning, home to the very best technology, studios, equipment and industry-connected tutors. Now in our 30th year, we provide a vibrant and professional learning environment for passionate and committed students studying for careers in the creative industries. Part of Nottingham Trent University, we continue to see opportunities for growth and success over the coming years.
We’re after passionate, gifted and creative educators to join our rapidly expanding team of tutors to help deliver our English curriculum, which may include a combination of Functional Skills (Entry Level and Level 1) and GCSE English, on a full time basis. If you see your future supporting learners to fulfil their potential and have the skills required to create an innovative and inspiring learning environment - then this is the place for you!
From planning lessons and preparing resources for designated programmes and modules to delivering engaging sessions and activities, our tutors are at the heart of the student experience.
It’s essential that you are conversant with current professional practices within your field of expertise. You will be educated to degree level and will ideally hold a recognised teaching qualification. If you have the attitude and desire to work in varied, dynamic environment and believe in an industry shaping vocational provision then you will play a key role in our success.
We pride ourselves on our flexible and innovative approach to English delivery to bespoke teaching and learning styles. We welcome experimentation and innovations in delivery methods and approaches and embrace both traditional and online teaching methods. We support delivery through the use of online platforms.
During administrative hours, we embrace hybrid-working practices by agreement with your line manager and work hard to ensure you can achieve an appropriate work/life balance.
In return you will receive a generous holiday allowance as well as access to a range of other employee benefits, including our travel discounts and our company funded healthcare cash plan.
Confetti is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure & Barring Service.
We’re proud to be a progressive employer that champions opportunity and diversity in all aspects of our work, and we’re committed to equality for all. We warmly welcome applications from people who reflect our diverse community.
