Role Overview
As the Director of Fundraising, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing Pride in London's fundraising strategy. You will be responsible for creating a culture and environment that inspires and enables supporters to make financial donations, while overseeing the growth of our Unity Fund which distributes resources to the LGBTQ+ Community. This volunteer position requires exceptional leadership skills, creativity, and a passion for community engagement.

Our volunteer team is more than amazing – they inspire great ideas, generate needed sponsorship, drive forward our operational plans and help make Pride in London a fantastic place to volunteer.
We endeavour to attract and recruit a diverse mix of volunteers who are representative of the diversity in our LGBTQ+ communities which gives us a great opportunity to have access to a broad range of ideas and allows us to deliver an inclusive event that you expect from Pride in London .

This volunteer position requires exceptional leadership skills, creativity, and a passion for community engagement.
Your Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Unity Fund Development
- Develop and implement a comprehensive year-round fundraising strategy
- Lead the strategic growth of the Unity Fund within the LGBTQ+ community
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Partnerships & Growth
- Deliver a calendar of fundraising activities including individual donations and third-party events
- Lead Special Events including our annual Gala Dinner and after-party activity
- Establish and nurture Pride Partner relationships with venues, brands, and retailers through percentage-of-sales arrangements and donation agreements
- Manage grandstand seat sales for the Parade
- Strategise and execute the annual merchandise programme in collaboration with external production partners
- Identify and cultivate retail sales channels, including temporary physical locations and e-commerce platforms
- Direct and coordinate vendor booth/stall operations across various venues and events
- Recruit and manage fundraising volunteers year-round and on-the-day fundraisers
- Ensure compliance with fundraising legislation and best practices
- Proven experience in fundraising or development roles within the non-profit or charity sector
- Experience of leading and managing successful volunteer teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong networking capabilities
- Comprehensive understanding of fundraising regulations, processes, and legal requirements in the UK
- Strategic thinking and planning abilities with demonstrated success in delivering revenue growth
- Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Genuine commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion
- Understanding of the LGBTQ+ community and its needs
- Reports directly to the CEO
- Works collaboratively with the Director of Partnerships & Growth and the Director of Community Engagement & Outreach
