Position Summary

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic team member to join our corporate digital team as a Digital Communications Executive on an initial 18-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start a career or already with a couple of years’ experience in digital communications and be looking to learn and develop your skills as part of a small and busy team.

You’ll be on the frontline of our digital operation, helping the wider team to manage the day to day demands of a managing channels and content and to play your part in delivering a first-class digital communications experience both inside and outside the organisation. This includes internal and external channels, everything from websites and social media to intranets and internal screens.

A day in the life of a Digital Communications Executive

The successful candidate will be exposed to a variety of stories, issues and opportunities as you help other communications managers with digital communications as well as being responsible for organising suppliers, databases, calendars and other tools as well as supporting the creating of content, scheduling posts and evaluating performance.

  • Support the planning, posting and scheduling of effective content across digital channels
  • Help to analyse the performance of those channels and content on a regular basis and report back to the wider team and business so those insights can be used to inform future plans.
  • Ensure consistency across channels in style, tone of voice and develop creative ideas to increase the effectiveness of each channel.
  • Support other team members with comments, questions and issues that arise on social media
  • Help to provide day to day monitoring of key Nestlé topics on social media channels
  • Review and adapt global social media content for use in the UK and Ireland
  • Support the team with key day to day activities including the management of systems, calendars, meeting agendas, reports, product drops, filming and events.

What will make you successful?

You should have a natural interest in social media and communications and have an understanding of the UK media landscape and current affairs and news media. You will have a natural sense for engaging content and be able to identify and develop a story creatively.

You’ll also have;

  • Excellent organisation skills, a strong work ethic, a talent for multi-tasking and high standards of written English.
  • IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • An interest or expertise in graphic design or video editing would be advantageous.
