Responsibilities Of The Design & Technology Technicians
- Prepare, maintain, and organise tools, materials, and equipment for practical lessons.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support to teachers during practical sessions and demonstrations.
- Assist students with their projects by offering guidance and ensuring the proper use of equipment.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs on equipment.
- Manage stock levels and order materials as needed.
- Experience or qualifications in a relevant technical, engineering, or design field (preferred).
- Practical skills in using tools and equipment commonly found in a Design and Technology workshop.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a school or workshop environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
