Main duties of the job

We are looking to appoint a Gastroenterologist/ Hepatologist who is signed off for ERCP. 10 sessions will be split between ERCP (plus EUS and stent insertion depending on clinical skills) and outpatient clinics, with an aim to provide both specialist Hepatobiliary clinic and General Gastroenterology clinic.

The endoscopy unit in Royal Gwent Hospital operates 7 days a week, therefore this role will include 1 in 4 weekends, with general diagnostic endoscopy (not ERCP), with timetabled rest days during the week.

There will be no requirement for out of hours on call for GI bleeds.
